## Overview

Project G-Assist is NVIDIA's AI assistant for GeForce RTX PCs. You open it from the NVIDIA app overlay (Alt+G) and ask in plain English, by text or voice, to optimize a game's graphics, analyze stutter or input lag, check temperatures and clocks, cap your frame rate, update drivers or toggle features like DLSS overrides, G-SYNC and Smooth Motion.

It runs on a small Llama-based 8-billion-parameter model on your own GPU, so it's free, responsive and works offline; NVIDIA notes you may see a brief FPS dip while it answers mid-game. Version 0.2 added a Reasoning mode and a faster Flash mode, controls for G-SYNC monitors and Corsair iCUE devices, and one-step plugin installs. Community plugins (via mod.io and NVIDIA's GitHub samples) add integrations like Discord, Twitch, Spotify, Logitech and Elgato Stream Deck.

## Key features

- One-prompt graphics optimization per game, tuned for performance, quality or battery life
- Framerate, latency, stutter and power analyzers while a game is running
- Live stats and graphs: FPS, 1% lows, PC latency, GPU temps, clocks and power
- Controls DLSS overrides, Smooth Motion, frame-rate caps, refresh rate and G-SYNC
- Plugin system with community add-ons for Corsair, Stream Deck, Discord, Spotify and more

## Use it for

- Get the best settings for a new game without digging through menus
- Find out why a game stutters or feels laggy
- Stretch laptop battery life while gaming unplugged
